The company you know today as Envanio was founded in 1968 in Bietigheim-Bissingen as the environmental technology division of Dürr. Since then, it has since been one of the world’s leading providers of industrial air pollution control systems. For more than 60 years, the team at Envanio has been designing, manufacturing, installing, and maintaining turnkey system solutions that remove pollutants from the exhaust air of your industrial production processes in an energy- and cost-efficient manner.
Global Pioneer in Noise Control & Air Filtration
Now known as Envanio Universal, the company was originally founded as Universal Silencer in the U.S. in 1959. Following several acquisitions over the years, the company was first acquired by Babcock and Wilcox in 2017 and then by Dürr the following year. Today, the brand is known not only for its industrial silencers and filters, but above all for the comprehensive retrofitting of inlet and outlet systems for gas turbines in power plants to reduce noise.

Following its sale by the Dürr Group, the “Clean Technology Systems” division has changed its name to Envanio and commenced operations as an independent company.
