Product Features of Our Vent Silencers

Our vent silencers are heavy-duty units. The inlet plenum is covered with outer acoustic wrap and lag shell to reduce outer mechanically induced shell noise, and internal flow noise. A highly absorptive acoustic fill material, and heavy gauge perforated face sheets guarantee exceptional attenuation at high frequencies. The inlet nozzle and diffuser are constructed of steel and fully welded. The diffuser provides controlled pressure expansion to atmosphere and uniform flow distribution through the acoustic section of the silencer. Lifting lugs support simple installation while a bottom drain eliminates water accumulation.

Yes, an optional floating inlet can compensate for piping thermal growth without the need for an expansion joint. The floating inlet provides 2 inches of axial movement and +/-1 inch of lateral movement or axial only.
